Numa Pompilius is the second in a series of Comprehensible Input style novellas about the kings of Rome composed for the beginning Latin learner. In terms of syntax, this reader begins to use Imperfect and Perfect Active Verbs as well as I-III Declension nouns. Topics include Roman religion, buildings, weather, times of day, and times of year.

This workbook includes an extensive selection of exercises composed according to Communicative Language Teaching principles, the Natural Method, also called the Direct Method, and Grammar Translation. The hope is to make the novella accessible and fruitful for a variety of learners.
